Sewing Tips Alterations

sewing tips alteration?

I need to take the size of my Halloween costume a few centimeters so that fits properly, I am a beginner sewing aid such as this point to use or what to do would be appreciated Thanks:)

It all depends on how the suit is constructed. For example, a seamless garment waistline can often be supported by curved side seams, the size a bit. Or adding fisheye darts (double sharp arrows). Or add a frame. Something with an attached waist, The bodice and skirt would separate the top and bottom mounted correctly and that the return sewed two together. Or add a frame. Something like a skirt or pants, the belt would be taken off, the clothes changed at side seams, front and back seams and / or increased absorption of darts, then reapplied to the belt. Or you can drag some elastic in the waist, like an envelope. Or you can sew elastic at the waist inside. Or you can add a belt or a scarf. There is such a variety of fabrics and designs, the best you can probably do is to copy everything the manufacturer used sewing. I'm sorry I'm not more helpful here, but the costume design, fabric type, the amount of effort and expenses that you want to go to all come into play here. it's worth more than staples or safety pins? Is it as valuable as having a pro alter it? What are your sewing skills? Can I use a sewing machine? A serger? Are you willing to devote time to hand sew? Do your skills match what fashion should be done?
